Instructions for presentations

CoRL 2023 requires at least one of the authors to register and present. CoRL 2023 will NOT accommodate remote presentations. All oral presentations will be in-person. For posters, if you cannot present in person, please let us know ASAP by emailing pc@corl2023.org.

Please read the following instructions carefully. Feel free to email pc@corl2023.org if you have any questions.

Oral

Papers accepted as orals will be presented in both the oral sessions and the poster sessions:

  1. 10-minutes oral talk, with 8 minutes for the talk and 2 minutes for live Q&A. You can find the oral presentation schedule for your paper here. You will use your own laptop to present. If you have any special requests, please let us know in advance.

  2. 45-min poster session: All the oral papers will also be presented at a poster session on the same day. The poster session is 45 minutes, and you can find the poster schedule here. The recommended size of the poster is 30 x 36, or 30 x 40 (inch), in either portrait or landscape format. CoRL 2023 will offer free poster printing services for those who send their poster ahead of time (by 23:59 PT on October 27th). Printed posters will be available for pickup at the conference registration desk. The poster printing instructions are at the end of this page.

Poster

Poster presentation consists of two parts: Spotlight presentation and poster session.

  1. 1-min Spotlight presentation: In the mornings (9:30-10:30 AM), an author of the poster will give a 1-min Spotlight presentation in the Poster Spotlight session. The goal of the spotlight talk is to attract the audience to come to your poster in the poster session, instead of diving into technical details.

To facilitate rapid back-to-back presentations, authors will provide a 60-second 1080p video (mp4 format).

    • The first 5 seconds of the video should be a still frame of the title, authors and affiliations using this template

    • Spotlight presentations should be given in person, with the 1 minute video running. However, in case the presenter cannot make it, all the videos should include audio presentation as well. We will mute the audio and the presenter will talk over the video during the live presentation.

    • The spotlight presentation video is due at 23:59 PT on Oct 16, 2023, and can be uploaded as part of camera-ready upload on OpenReview.

  2. 45-min poster session: Followed by the Spotlight presentation, there will be a 45-minute poster session on the same day. You can find the poster schedule here.

In the case where the poster presenter cannot make it, we will still play the 1-min Spotlight presentation recording with audio, and will have to skip the poster in the poster session.

Poster printing instructions

  • Save your poster in PDF format, using file name "paper[###]-[LastnameFirstname].pdf", where [###] is the paper submission number, and [LastnameFirstname] are the names of the first author on the paper.

  • Email the PDF to corl2023-posters@groups.gatech.edu by 23:59 PT on October 27th.  Due to the time and effort required for printing, we are unable to accept posters sent after this date.

  • The poster will be printed over the next few days and confirmation sent to the author. The poster can then be picked up at the conference venue.
